Tasty franchise deal for Kyra Enterprises

Coventry businessman Glyn Pashley has increased his network of franchised McDonald's restaurants to ten after obtaining financial backing from the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS). Pashley’s company Kyra Enterprises will take over sites in Wyboston and Brampton Hut.

Pashley first entered into a McDonald’s franchise in 1999 when he took control of the Rugby town centre restaurant. With his two most recent additions, Pashley’s franchise now employs about 550 people.

There are 1,190 McDonalds restaurants in the UK, with 51 per cent being run under a franchisee agreement.

Pashley said: “I have been working successfully within the McDonald’s franchise structure for 11 years and have been delighted with the way the business has developed in Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and now Bedfordshire. My ambition is to continue growing and I will continue to look to the local area for opportunities in good locations.”

Ann Marie Swift, senior relationship manager at RBS Coventry, said: “Glyn and Kyra Enterprises have worked very hard to build a sizeable business in a relatively short space of time and have really demonstrated how to run a successful franchise business. Once again we are delighted to support their plans and look forward to helping them acquire further stores."
