Share | |

Quadnetics Group, based in Studley, Warwickshire, has acquired defence technology company Persides technology (PTL). The Bristol-headquartered company was purchased for a total cash consideration of £260,000.

Quadnetics specialises in advanced surveillance technology and security networks.

PTL produces advanced battlefield electronic monitoring systems (EMS) and ruggedised hand-held digital video systems for use in extreme environments.

PTL is an existing technology partner to Quadnetic’s defence business, Synectics Defence Systems. It assisted with the development of Synectics' latest generation radio frequency detection system, Chili, which will be launched in early 2011.

John Shepherd, chief executive of Quadnetics, said: “The acquisition of PTL is a significant step forward in the restructuring and repositioning of our defence activities and opens up new market opportunities for the group.”
