Bucknall calls for greater collaboration
David Bucknall, chairman of Birmingham property firm Rider Levett Bucknall and an elder statesmen in the local property community, has told Insider he plans to encourage the private and public sectors to "work together more collaboratively" in 2011.
Insider’s reigning Property Personality of the Year, said: “The economic challenge makes the public sector/private sector debate irrelevant. There should just be a ‘West Midlands’ sector. I think this is starting to happen and it will be interesting to see how this develops as the LEP and other initiatives evolve.
“We need to present a united ‘West Midlands plc’ front that shows the rest of the UK that we are a leading region in the fight back from the recession. A forward thinking approach has delivered success for the West Midlands in the past and this same attitude can do the same for us again in the future.
“We need to stop talking and take action.”
