Essential move to Friar Gate
Essential Marketing Solutions has become the latest creative industries business to move to Friar Gate Studios in Derby city centre.
Sharon Stevens-Cash set up the marketing company in 2008 having previously worked as marketing manager for the former urban regeneration company Derby Cityscape - at a time when many businesses were thinking about cutting back.
She said: “It was extremely daunting to set up a new business in such a challenging economic climate and particularly when marketing budgets were in danger of being cut as they had in previous recessions.
“Thankfully, the marketing industry does seem to have weathered the storm and I have been particularly fortunate to work with a wide range of businesses and organisations who recognise that marketing is essential in this climate to increase the bottom line and improve competitive edge.
“I have been particularly proud of the work I have done with Marketing Derby and for a variety of festivals including the 2010 Derby Festé which has been hailed as the best attended annual event so far and the marketing campaign even included setting up a publicity stunt at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival."
