Recruitment agency Barker Ross has appointed four new consultants to its construction and civil engineering team in Nottingham. The new recruits all come directly from the construction industry.

William Berridge joins the agency from Alpha Environmental, a contaminated land and remediation contractor which undertakes projects across the UK.

Berridge was responsible for day to day operations on multiple sites in the East Midlands and East Anglia and headed a team of ten field technicians.

He is joined by Fiona Bessford, who worked on Nottingham’s £900m, 42-acre brownfield Eastside regeneration project alongside Hopkins Architects and Thomas Heatherwick Studio.

The third new recruit, Tim Clarke, worked for Northfield Construction as a site engineer on projects throughout the UK, before joining Bridgebank Construction in a similar role.

Qualified structural technician James Donaghy also joins the team.

Sarah Richmond, construction and civil engineering business development and divisional manager with Barker Ross, said: “William, Fiona, Tim and James all bring with them competencies in a range of different construction and civil engineering-related disciplines.

"Their sector expertise and hands on experience will be of great value to Barker Ross, its clients and candidates as we enter 2011 and beyond.”
