Entrepreneurs to profit from improved EU access

Share | |

Nottingham Business School, part of Nottingham Trent University, has received funding for a third project to promote and support entrepreneurship across Europe. The latest grant of €27,500 (about £23,450) will help fund a programme which aims to help entrepreneurs identify potential partners in other EU countries.

The scheme, REMPART+, is being funded by the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Programme, run by the European Commission - Enterprise and Industry.

The project is set to establish partnerships between new and existing entrepreneurs across the continent. It will promote accessibility and networking as well as inter-cultural learning.

Entrepreneurs involved in REMPART+ will also have the chance to undertake on-the-job training in small to medium sized companies located in a different country to their own, to help them with the development of their business ideas.

Dr Kostas Galanakis, lead academic for the project at Nottingham Business School, said: "There are eight organisations from EU Member States involved in this project and a further 150 working for the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme across the EU. Nottingham Business School will play a central role in increasing entrepreneur mobility across Europe.

"Here at Nottingham Trent University we have many student entrepreneurs who start up businesses with support from our enterprise centre, The Hive, and through REMPART+ we're also hoping to assist them in accessing new markets across the continent."
