Mansell completes acquisition of Rok teams
Mansell, a subsidiary of Balfour Beatty, has completed the acquisition of the affordable housing teams formerly operated by collapsed building services company Rok based in Birmingham, Rochdale and Exeter.
Mansell purchased the division for £7m, of which £4m has been paid in cash. It said its priority was now is to ensure that there are no further disruptions to its clients and consultants.
Mansell business development manager Andy Dyson, who formerly worked in the Rok affordable housing team, said: “We would like to confirm our commitment to working closely with our new colleagues based in Gateshead and Doncaster together with all our customers to produce both new build and refurbishment projects with the backing of the largest contracting company in the country.”
Exeter-based Rok entered administration in November following a wretched year. Its difficulties are seen as having arisen from its dependency on public sector-funded projects, which account for more than half of its business.
