Cobbetts recruits family law expert
Law firm Cobbetts has recruited a new partner to its Birmingham office. The firm said that the appointment of Nigel Mears will allow it to “improve the breadth of services” that it can offer clients.
Joining from George Green, where he worked for three years, Mears has specialised in family law for more than two decades.
Mears has particular expertise in the area of high-value ancillary relief claims pursued through divorce proceedings.
Graham Muth, head of Cobbetts’ Birmingham office, said: “Nigel is extremely experienced and well respected in the field of family law and will be a huge asset to the team in Birmingham by improving the breadth of service available for our clients.”
Mears said: “I am delighted to be joining Cobbetts and very much looking forward to developing the family law offering across the whole of the Cobbetts business.”
As a member of Resolution, Nigel is also trained as a collaborative lawyer.
