Former Volvo site snapped up
The site of a former Volvo dealership in Nottingham is to reopen as a multi-franchise car showroom. The property in Nuthall Road, which is owned by Speeds, has been empty since Volvo relocated to premises on Valley Road earlier this year.
New tenant Vertu Motors is planning to open a Bristol Street Motors branded showroom early in 2011 after signing a 15-year agreement.
Martin Speed, managing director of Speeds, said: “I am delighted that we have been able to let these facilities and, given the climate, the deal has been completed very rapidly and at values comfortable to both parties, which is a credit to our professional advisers."
Proeprty agent Salloway acted on belhalf of Speeds. The owner was also represented by Gavin Black & Partners, while Fraser Brown acted on behalf of the landlord.
The deal is the first to be completed by Salloway’s new Nottingham office, located just off The Ropewalk.
