ScreenSafe passes funding test
The Staffordshire Business Support Fund (SBSF) has helped a Stafford-based company consolidate and grow its business.
ScreenSafeUK, based at the Astonfields Industrial Estate, provides drug, alcohol and DNA testing for employers and organisations across the UK and Ireland.
The company also offers a variety of occupational health products and services including treatment and counselling, medical and screening programmes and claims to offer the UK’s widest and most accurate range of analysis for testing for the presence of narcotics.
The company borrowed £50,000 from the SBSF, which is managed by the Black Country Reinvestment Society (BCRS), to refocus the business.
Matt Taylor, managing director and owner of ScreenSafeUK, said, “Our clients are in diverse sectors including manufacturing, construction, the fire service, police and education. We will also supply all of the testing equipment to the London 2012 Olympic Park and Athletes’ Village.”
Taylor started ScreenSafe UK in 2003 with a business partner. When that partner recently decided to leave the business, Taylor needed funding to replace his investment.
