Funding leads to Pepceuticals move
East Midlands-based life science business Pepceuticals has moved into new premises in Enderby. It comes after it won a £99,000 funding package from the East Midlands Development Agency (emda).
Pepceuticals Limited, which specialises in manufacturing custom peptides won a 'Grant for Business Investment' (GBI) and says it is now investing more than £1.3m in the new site.
It aims to establish a "high specification" Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) laboratory with chemistry laboratories.
Kamal Badiani, managing director and founder of the company, said: "We are very grateful for the support of emda in providing a grant towards establishing our new cutting edge facilities near Leicester.
"Having a GMP laboratory means we can move closer towards becoming an internationally renowned centre of excellence for the manufacture and development of peptides for the healthcare and bioscience industries."
