Louth solicitor Geoff Christie has been named the president of the Lincolnshire Law Society. It comes a year after Christie founded his own firm, Christie Solicitors.

Christie specialises in non-contentious business and commercial law, property and conveyancing work and private client matters including wills, probate and powers of attorney. He also provides legal services to British people living in the Algarve region of Portugal, where he has a second home.

He said: “It is an honour to be elected president of Lincolnshire Law Society. The legal profession is facing a time of enormous challenge and the society will fight not only for the future of the profession but to ensure that the people of Lincolnshire can continue to enjoy affordable access to justice in their own communities.”

Christie has lived in Lincolnshire since the age of 11 and qualified as a solicitor with Hayes, Son & Richmond Solicitors, Gainsborough. He joined Tinn Thimbleby in Spilsby in 1977 and Bridge McFarland Solicitors in 1992 as a partner.
