Jones Lang LaSalle has been instructed to sell the freehold interest of a two acre site which is part of the Rolls-Royce factory in Wolverhampton. Acting on behalf of fixed charged receivers, the property management company is also marketing the former 19th Century Ephraim Phillips factory in Birmingham.

The former Rolls-Royce Factory comprises a 44,616 sq ft office building and a smaller industrial building of about 5,000 sq ft which are both situated around a central courtyard. The main office building has been subdivided and comprises several single offices.

The Ephraim Phillips factory comprises 1.6 acres in total. The freehold site includes two commercial buildings and a car park. Ephraim Phillips House has a total of 43,287 sq ft of office space over three floors. The second building is an industrial unit with offices on the first floor, which totals 19,119 sq ft.

Simon Dicken, associate director in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Birmingham office, said: “These sales mark a new chapter for these historic properties. We expect both sites to generate healthy interest from prospective purchasers who are looking to invest in an asset steeped in history."

The deadline for offers on both properties is Friday 17 December 2010.
