Green light for Tamworth expansion
Tamworth has been selected as the destination for the expansion of a renewable energy solutions provider. Eco-Environments has opened its fifth UK office in the Staffordshire town.
The Liverpool-based company said that the opening marked the latest move in its nationwide expansion plan.
The Tamworth operation will be run by Paul Summers, who will have responsibility for servicing the commercial and domestic property and construction markets.
Eco-Environments was launched almost three years ago. It employs more than 20 staff and is on course for a turnover of £1.8m this financial year.
The company designs, installs and commissions a range of renewable energy and energy conservation solutions, specialising in Solar Photovoltaic (PV), wind turbines and solar thermal water heating systems.
Paul Summers, who will report directly to the company’s three directors, said: “Renewable energy is one of the most exciting sectors in Britain today and during the past three years, Eco-Environments has established itself as one of the fastest growing and most respected businesses in that market.
“There is a lot of buzz particularly around Feed in Tariffs in which customers are paid for every kilowatt hour of electricity their system produces irrespective of whether they use it or not as well as being paid for electricity sold back to the grid.
“The company has chosen Tamworth because we already have experience working on projects in the region and our research tells us that there is considerable interest in renewable energy solutions."
The company has its head office in Liverpool and further bases in Darlington, Manchester and Penrith.
