Staysure creates 150 Northampton jobs
After securing a top ten position in the Sunday Times Fast Track, Northampton-based staysure.co.uk has announced plans to create an additional 150 jobs in the region. The company, which provides insurance, financial and travel services for over 50s, described its growth during this year as “fantastic”.
The company’s Sunday Times ranking, which named it as the eighth-fastest growing private company in the UK, makes it the country’s fastest growing insurance and financial services company. Last year, it experienced growth of 151 per cent.
Ryan Howsam, Staysure’s chief executive, said: “Our growth in 2010 has been fantastic and I am really proud of the team that has helped deliver this achievement. I believe our success is down to a real understanding of the over 50s consumer, offering great value and a company-wide commitment to providing high quality service.”
Since its launch in 2004, Staysure has sold more than a million travel insurance policies to the over 50s and says it has built on this success with a range of other products including a Personal Travel Service, Private Medical Insurance, Life Cover, Funeral Plans, as well as Home and Car Insurance policies.
The company also has operations in Spain from where it offers a growing range of insurance and financial services to expats.
Howsam added that the company planned to launch more new products and services for pensions and investments in 2011 to continue to drive growth.
He concluded: “We have lots of new and exciting plans for next year and we’ll also see another 150 staff recruited in Northampton."
