Hewer wins £2m Worcester contract
Gloucester-based Hewer Facilities Management has won a £2m contract from Worcester Community Housing (WCH). The facilities management company has signed a four-year partnering agreement, effective immediately, for the service, maintenance and repair of the housing association's gas heating systems.
Hewer FM will work with WCH on annual service and safety checks and day-to-day gas repairs, together with emergency and out-of-hours work for more than 4,500 homes.
Simon Hewer, managing director at Hewer FM, said: "We're delighted to have secured the WCH gas servicing partnership. The number of homes involved in this programme highlights our ability to coordinate gas maintenance services on a large scale.”
Hewer FM won the contract in a competitive procurement process. This included submitting tender documentation, a short-listing process and evaluation of the tenders received.
