William Sinclair branches out with Kent deal
William Sinclair Holdings, based in Lincoln, has acquired the decorative aggregates business of Monro Horticulture. William Sinclair, which specialises in gardening and commercial horticulture, purchased the Kent-based business after successfully buying another division of the Monro brand.
On 22 November this year, the company announced that it would acquire Growing Success Organics, the garden care products provider, from Monro Horticulture.
The directors of William Sinclair said they believe that the latest acquisition will be “modestly” earnings enhancing during the year to 30 September 2011 and will provide “growth potential for the future”.
The company said it expects its previous acquisition of Growing Success Organics to generate sales of approximately £3m in the year ended 30 September 2011.
