HSBC Private Bank has appointed a new relationship director to its Birmingham office. Cameron Farnell will take up the role having worked for HSBC for nine years.

Farnell previously worked with the bank’s premier team looking after private customers. His new role will be focused on business development, and will involve meeting with the financial and professional services community in Birmingham.

Farnell said: "I’m delighted to be undertaking a new challenge, building upon my experience to date to further strengthen our relationships with the professional community in Birmingham."

Derek Proctor, regional director at HSBC Private Bank, said: "Bringing Cameron into the role was an easy decision for us with his wealth of private client experience and understanding of the concerns and requirements of HSBC Private Bank clients."
