Barclays recruits new director
Richard Williams has been appointed relationship director at Barclays Corporate in the East Midlands. Williams will be responsible for clients across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, concentrating on the professionals sector.
Clients will include solicitors, architects, insurance brokers and accountants.
Williams joins Barclays after 25 years with The Royal Bank of Scotland and NatWest - the last 13 of which were spent in the corporate and commercial finance industry predominantly in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
Williams said of his appointment: “It is great to have the chance to move to Barclays Corporate continuing in an area in which I have worked for many years. Barclays is showing its commitment to small and medium sized businesses in the region by growing its team of relationship directors and I am delighted to be a part of this.
"My main objective is to grow Barclays’ competitive position, particularly in the professionals sector.”
