Wesleyan expands into the South

Wesleyan Assurance Society, based in Birmingham, has announced plans to extend its financial planning service for lawyers and law firms into London and the South East of England. The expansion will create an additional 11 jobs at the financial adviser.

By the end of 2012, the firm said that it will have doubled the size of its sales force and expanded further by moving into Scotland.

Wesleyan, which was launched in the Midlands in 2007, recently announced that it had experienced a 260 per cent increase in the number of sales in its second year of trading.

Greg Lowson, head of Pinsent Masons’ Birmingham office and a member of the Wesleyan Lawyers Advisory Board, said: “I’ve been involved with Wesleyan for Lawyers since its inception and have been impressed by their in-depth knowledge of both financial services and of the legal profession. Lawyers have a unique career path and therefore generic financial services aren’t always appropriate.

“Wesleyan for Lawyers quickly found success in the Midlands not least because it is part of a long-established, trusted, mutual assurer that has been providing financial advice to the medical profession for well over 100 years.”

Wesleyan for Lawyers is a distribution brand of Wesleyan Assurance Society which offers financial services and products to doctors, dentists, lawyers and teachers.
