Salloway to open up in Nottingham
In a surprise move, commercial property consultancy Salloway has announced it will open up a new office in Nottingham. Speaking to Insider, senior partner Stephen Salloway said the development will allow the consultancy to “expand its operations.”
The company, which has run offices in Derby and Burton for the past 17 years, has taken premises just off The Ropewalk in the city in response to growing demand.
Senior partner, Stephen Salloway, told Insider: “Despite the economic climate, which continues to be extremely challenging, we have remained very busy and our portfolio of instructions has been steadily rising in Nottingham for quite some time.
“We felt the time was right to consolidate our efforts by opening an office there and we are very much looking forward to playing our part in further developing Nottingham’s commercial property offer.”
The company has appointed one of its senior surveyors, Marc Ballard, as a director and he will be responsible for developing the Nottingham business alongside his current clients in and around Derby.
He said: “I’m very excited to become a director of a business which has built up an excellent reputation for the calibre of its work in the commercial property sector. I’m equally delighted to be taking on responsibility for growing our presence in Nottingham.
Ballard added: “Although the sector remains sluggish we have continued to generate a good number of new enquiries. We are already handling a range of prominent property instructions in Nottingham and we expect to complete a number of transactions for our clients over the coming weeks.
“Whilst we are not predicting any significant change in market conditions for some months yet, we are committed to ensuring our move into Nottinghamshire is a success.”
