Norton Energy Solutions has purchased a lease on a unit in Kings Norton Business Centre (KNBC) for a five-year term. The renewable energy specialist joins 85 other tenants, including Birmingham City Council, at the Melchett Road scheme.

The letting was completed by property agents DTZ and Harris Lamb, on behalf of development company SEGRO.

The unit let by Norton Energy Solutions comprises 10,261 sq ft of industrial space and has been let for five years with a rental value of £55,000 per annum.

KNBC covers about 790,000 sq ft of production, warehouse, showroom and office accommodation and is home to 86 companies, employing about 1,250 people.

John Sambrooks, associate director in DTZ's Birmingham industrial and logistics team, said: “With its close proximity to Kings Norton railway station, high quality accommodation and the availability of flexible terms, KNBC is a well-located development which has attracted a diverse range of tenants. The letting to Norton Energy Solutions is the 13th letting at the scheme in the last 12 months.”
