A historic swimming baths in New Basford will go to auction next month. The Noel Street teaching pool, to be sold by Nottingham property agent Heb, has a guide price of £175,000 to £190,000.

The property, which is being auctioned upon the instruction of Nottingham City Council, originally opened in the 1930s and formed part of the former leisure complex.

Matt Hilton, partner at Heb and auctioneer, said: “This property has an approximate floor area of 8,701 sq ft and is suitable for a variety of uses. Situated adjacent to the tram stop, it also provides easy access to the city centre.”

In its December auction, Heb will bring 25 lots under the hammer, including commercial property, houses and development sites.

Other Nottingham commercial lots include The King of Diamonds pub in Shirebrook and lot 16 – Windsor Garage on Ellis Road in Beeston.

“Windsor Garage is a motor vehicle workshop close to Beeston town centre with a price guide of £225,000 to £250,000. It has integral offices and is suitable for other industrial and storage uses.

“With commercial lots, it’s important to think outside of the box. They don’t have to kept as they are; a lot of them have the scope for alternative use and development.”
