European Safety Bureau inspects Mayfair
Leicester-based business The European Safety Bureau has been appointed by in-house catering provider Mayfair Catering as a specialist consultant on food safety. The remit, which also covers health and safety, involves the company carrying out its "Healthcheck" schemes on site.
The company says it has already carried out food safety and health & safety audits at five sites in the London area for Mayfair Catering, which will be repeated in the spring. Specialist training courses will also be conducted by the company early next year, it said.
The contract win followed a campaign promoting the company's free "Healthcheck" service.
The European Safety Bureau's chief executive Derek Gardner said: "We have simply found Healthcheck to be the best way of introducing ourselves to potential new clients, such as Mayfair Catering.
"At a time when insurance premiums are rising and the compensation culture, with its potential for costly civil litigation, it will either provide independent reassurance that a business’ policies and procedures are in order or highlight possible areas for improvement.”
The European Safety Bureau began in 1986 and provides professional support services to clients in the food, catering, retail, hotel and leisure sectors throughout the UK and abroad.
