St John Ambulance has sold its former divisional headquarters in Hinckley in a deal secured by Innes England. The 5,000 sq ft commercial premises have been sold to The Tin Hat Regeneration Partnership and will form part of the Hinckley redevelopment proposal.

Peter Doleman, director of Innes England, said: "This is a positive move for St John Ambulance and delivers our objective to help the charity fulfill its needs at this time.

"This sale was also an important piece of the jigsaw in so far as the redevelopment of Hinckley town centre. The regeneration of the existing bus station site with a sustainable mixed use retail and leisure focussed scheme is vitally important to the future of Hinckley town centre."

The local divisional premises for St John Ambulance in Hinckley will now be the church hall to position the members closer to other community groups.

Juliette Hewitt, county executive officer for St John Ambulance Leicestershire and Rutland, said: "St John Ambulance provides trained and equipped volunteers at events across the country, helping thousands of people who receive crucial first aid when they need it. This move will provide better premises for us to continue our vital services within the community, and will allow us to utilise funds in the best possible way."
