Jay Fostering sold to NFA

Leicestershire fostering agency Jay Fostering has been sold to Uxbridge-based NFA Partnerships, it has been confirmed. East Midlands law firm Howes Percival advised on the deal.

Established in 2003 by Joy Berry and her son Richard Berry, Jay Fostering has grown rapidly and claims to have "developed a reputation for delivering high quality services". It is rated as "outstanding" by Ofsted.

Jay Fostering helps councils throughout the Midlands find foster carers for children they cannot place internally due to shortfalls in their own fostering provision.

Joy Berry said: "We thought long and hard about our decision and were keen to ensure Jay could continue to flourish and grow with the security and support of a larger organisation behind it.

"I really believe the culture and child centred values of NFA very much mirrors that of Jay, giving us great confidence for the future."

Keith Gilbert, partner at Howes Percival LLP, led the transaction, assisted by solicitor Lucie Green. Keith Gilbert.
