UKTI seeks energy firms for Gulf trip
Midlands companies are being encouraged to take part in an energy summit in Abu Dhabi.
UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) is organising a visit to the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) in Abu Dhabi from 17-20 January for businesses to demonstrate their expertise in this field.
WFES is a leading international trade show dedicated to renewable energy and environmental technologies.
The 2010 event brought together nearly 25,000 delegates - including world leaders, international policy makers, industry leaders, investors and academics - from 148 countries.
UKTI in the West Midlands is taking space on the UK pavilion at the show and is offering the a package of support which includes a travel subsidy of up to £450, use of the West Midlands stand area and places at an evening reception.
James Ahearne, UKTI's West Midlands international cluster coordinator for environmental technologies, said: "The visit is a great opportunity for West Midlands energy and environment companies, particularly in areas such as solar, wind, biomass, energy efficiency, power storage and advanced transportation.”
