Lincolnshire NHS contract signed
North East Lincolnshire PCT has signed a three-year deal with a developer and provider of clinical decision support systems. Avia Health Informatics is to provide its Odyssey medical database to the trust.
The deal means the trust can access both the Odyssey Reception and Odyssey TeleAssess systems to help in its management of an out-of-hours service.
Odyssey is now being used across all of Lincolnshire's out-of-hours services.
It comes as Portsmouth City NHS signed a three-year contract for Odyssey TeleAssess for use in its new expanded out-of-hours service, and Odyssey FaceToFace for its walk-in-centre and minor injuries unit.
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, the largest health organisation in Wales, also recently decided to bring its out-of-hours service provision in-house for the whole of North Wales and has signed a contract for the use of Odyssey TeleAssess.
Avia Health Informatics has been incorporated in the USA and in Australia, Avia has appointed Clarity Business and IT Solutions as its first Australian reseller.
