Coventry hosts low carbon conference
Midlands businesses are being urged to take advantage of the UK's "green revolution" and the "low carbon economy". An event is being held at Coventry University on 1 December where experts will be on hand to offer advice to businesses.
The Low Carbon Cities Conference, hosted in partnership with Coventry City Council and Advantage West Midlands, will showcase current successes and aims to provide a "political, technological and operational insight" into future opportunities.
John Latham, deputy vice-chancellor for business development at Coventry University, said: "The Low Carbon Cities Conference aims to encourage businesses to take advantage of the opportunities emerging as a result of the UK's green revolution, from capturing an insight into and engaging with the market for low carbon products and services, to identifying funding possibilities."
The conference aims to show businesses how they can get involved in current and future projects either as partners or suppliers.
It will also focus on energy, transportation, infrastructure and buildings connecting under the "low carbon cities agenda".
