Hunt for young entrepreneur geniuses
A competition has been launched to find the most enterprising young person in the East Midlands. Developed by Unleashing Enterprise, the ‘Next Big Thing’ encourages participants aged 14 to 25 to come up with an innovative idea for a product or service which will benefit their community.
The online competition, part of the 'Enterprising Streak' campaign, will be launched tomorrow (17 November) during Global Entrepreneurship Week. Prizes are available for the best ideas.
Anyone interested in applying must complete an online application form by 28 January 2011.
Sarah Lee, regional manager for Unleashing Enterprise, said: "This is a great opportunity for young people as well as students from schools, colleges and universities across the East Midlands to improve their enterprise skills and learn the basics of entrepreneurship and business. We hope this competition will unearth the next generation of enterprising talent from right across the region."
