Broadband boost for BCS

Share | |

Nottingham PR company BCS PR has completed work for the Broadband World Forum, described as the "world's biggest broadband show". It was the first time the show's organiser Informa Telecoms & Media had hired a PR firm to promote the event.

BCS said account director Chrissie Walker put in place a four-month "strategic campaign" that made use of news releases, media relations, exhibitor liaison and managing the show’s digital outlets, including Twitter and LinkedIn accounts.

Gavin Whitechurch, director of the Broadband World Forum, said: “The reason for hiring a public relations agency was to help take the show to the next level. Not only have we received great coverage of the event, we’ve recorded the highest visitor numbers in the show’s history, with BCS making a significant contribution to this result.

“BCS became a part of our in-house marketing team, supporting and advising us on all aspects of the show’s media and exhibitor liaison - all their hard work and support definitely paid off.”
