Jones Lang LaSalle to manage Caudwell portfolio
Staffordshire-based Caudwell Properties has appointed Jones Lang LaSalle to manage its entire UK property portfolio. The mandate comprises Sapphire Court, a 87,500 sq ft office building in Solihull and two multi-let offices at 1 St James' Gate in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Four single let office and industrial investments located in Yorkshire and Hampshire are also included in the portfiolio.
The instruction, which means Jones Lang LaSalle will take on a full property management role on approximately 920,000 sq ft of offices and industrial space, follows the property adviser’s appointment earlier this year to manage Caudwell’s Hampshire Court scheme, a complex of three multi-let office buildings on a prestigious office park in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Founder John Cauldwell, who also created mobile phone empire Phones4U, took the top spot in the Midlands Business Insider’s 2010 Rich List.
Thomas Kane, asset manager at Caudwell Properties, said: “We are very pleased to roll out the management of the rest of our portfolio following an exemplary trial period with Jones Lang LaSalle’s management team on our Hampshire Court property.”
Alan Hutchinson, director in Jones Lang LaSalle’s property and asset management team, added: “This new mandate is an excellent endorsement of the property management service provided to Caudwell Properties so far this year and its great to see Jones Lang LaSalle's focus on delivering outstanding results are being recognised by our clients.
“It is also a significant addition to the properties our national Property and Asset Management team already manages; specifically this instruction will be led out of our offices in Leeds, Birmingham and West London.”
