Nottingham based law firm Geldards has announced another high profile hire. Litigation partner Jonathan Tardif joins the commercial dispute resolution team after ten years at rival Eversheds.

Tardif specialises in managing commercial contract and international trade disputes for all sizes of domestic and international businesses. As head of Eversheds’ Midlands commercial dispute resolution team, he led some of their largest national and international disputes and acted for clients including Rolls-Royce, Nestlé and EasyJet.

Chief executive Jeff Pearson said: “Geldards is a firm with ambition; the expansion over recent months into our Nottingham office demonstrates our confidence and commitment to the city and to growing market share.

“Jonathan’s appointment is a clear indicator that our strategy is working, not only by attracting the best clients but also the very best lawyers not only in the region but in the UK. We are delighted that he has decided to come onboard.”

Tardif said: “These are still cautious times for businesses, large or small, across all sectors. What I believe this means for clients is that they must be able to rely on their lawyers to deliver crisp, timely and efficient advice tailored to their specific business needs.”
