Speedy joins Wolves
Merseyside engineering equipment business Speedy Hire has opened a new superstore in Wolverhampton. It has taken 11,000 sq ft and created 15 jobs.
The base is its second new opening in the West Midlands after recently opening a Stoke store. It also recently took a new premises in Edinburgh.
Speedy, which is headquartered in Newton-le-Willows, plans to open 30 superstores across the UK by 2012.
Wolverhampton Wanderers legend Steve Bull (pictured) was on hand to open the new superstore, which will house more than £1m worth of equipment.
Carl Guest, general manager at the new Speedy Superstore, said: “The new superstore is in a prime location that will give immediate access to a large range of equipment to local contractors and other customers from across the region.
“There are also several key industries located in the West Midlands, such as engineering, which will be better supported by our new store and the wide range of equipment and services on offer.”
