Trio in at Friar Gate Studios
Three new tenants have signed leases on units in Derby’s Friar Gate Studios. Boast Sponsorship, Baseline Creative and Cactus Images have all taken up residence in the creative studios.
Boast Sponsorship, which aims to bring together sponsors and sponsorship opportunities, was launched earlier this year by James Drew and Henry Guyler.
Both Cactus Images and Baseline Creative have moved to the Studios from Banks Mill Studio as part of their respective expansion programmes.
Chris Howard and Angela Jenkins formed Cactus Images in 2008. The company, which specialises in food and product photography, needed to find new premises that would provide them with more space and allow them to grow.
Baseline was established nearly eight years ago by creative director Craig Barker. The company, which specialises in branding, graphic design and web design, needed new offices following its rebrand and taking on two new additional members of staff.
Centre manager Andleeb Bhatti said: “I am always delighted when tenants get involved with each others’ businesses, whether it be a collaboration on a specific work project or an event like this.
“Friar Gate Studios houses some of the region’s most talented creatives and has quickly become a thriving community of like minded people that have been able to forge some fruitful working relationship. I look forward to many more collaborative projects such as this one.”
