Derby law firm Flint Bishop has been shortlisted for the Regional Law Firm of the Year at the British Legal Awards 2010. Flint Bishop is the only firm from the East Midlands to reach the final six at this year’s awards.

The firm, which employs 170 staff at its offices in Derby and Ashbourne, will go head-to-head with law firms including Birketts, Boyes Turner, Loch Associates Employment Lawyers, McGrigors and HBJ Gateley Wareing.

The awards will be judged by a panel of 15 professionals, including Bill Knight, former City of London Law Society president and Baroness Hayter, chair of the Legal Services Consumer Panel.

The winners of the 26 national and international categories will be revealed on 2 December at an awards ceremony in London.

Flint Bishop’s managing partner Ken Dixon said: “To beat so many other firms to make it on to the final shortlist of just six is fantastic. Being shortlisted for the title of Regional Law Firm of the Year is particular satisfying as it reflects the commitment and hard work by all our staff across the business.”
