Dragons’ Den success story Andy Harsley will head the line-up at the East Midlands’ Power of Marketing conference next week.

Grantham-based Harsley, whose Rapstrap tie strip is now distributed globally, will be speaking about market-led approach to innovation.

The regional marketing conference, which is organised by The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), is the largest of its kind in the Midlands.

Speakers include Jonathan Kestenbaum, chief executive of NESTA, and Claire Curzon, managing director of sales and marketing agency at Brighter Directions. The event will be held at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel on Thursday 11 November.

Sarah Benedek, chairman of the CIM’s Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire branch which is organising the event, commented: “With the continuing financial pressures on marketers around the region, it's important now more than ever to embrace innovation and to come up with creative new ideas.

"This conference is about hearing from the experts on how to use creativity and innovation to get ahead in business, coupled with a terrific networking opportunity.”
