Warwick targeted for £6m recycling plant
A materials reclamation facility (MRF) worth £6m is to be constructed at a new recycling centre in Warwick. Once complete, the MRF is expected to sort 39,000 tonnes of material each year.
Feedstock will come from Stratford-on-Avon, Rugby and Tewkesbury councils.
The facility will be developed and installed by recycling company Pure Recycling, based in Stratford-upon-Avon, and Rochdale-based engineer Ken Mills Engineering (KME).
Pure Recycling, which was bought by civil engineering group Kier earlier this year, specialises in providing community recycling facilities.
The transaction was advised by Nicky Collins and Catherine Kay at Manchester-based law firm George Davis.
Kay said: “We are delighted to have worked with KME on this project alongside Pure Recycling (now owned by Kier Group). This continues our role of advising key North West businesses in the recycling sector on major projects.”
