Prestige deal for Paragon

Share | |

Design and fit-out specialist Paragon Interiors Group has bought the assets and taken over the contracts of Ilkeston joinery manufacturer Prestige Commercial Interiors. Nottingham-based Paragon said the move was part of a group expansion.

Prestige’s previous owner Steve Watson has left the business.

The new company, Paragon Bespoke Joinery, aims to safeguard the jobs of the existing 20 employees, all of whom have been given new contracts.

Six new jobs have already been created at the company, with a further 12 expected during the first half of 2011.

Chairman Alan Hardy said: "This is a fantastic business that has massive potential with the right investment and the new management team. We will continue to operate from the existing 20,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Ilkeston where the quality of the specialist joinery work for the construction industry is among the best available.

“This greatly adds to our penetration into the retail fit-out sector, where an in-house joinery capability greatly adds to our sales proposition.”

The sum of the deal was not disclosed.
