Magnifico IT snaps up Digital Paint
Digital Paint, based in Northampton, has been acquired by Magnifico IT Services. The deal will allow Digital Paint to “take the next step in its business development”, said Leigh-based Magnifico IT.
Digital paint, which specialises in web design and development business, was founded in 2001 and has a client base of about 400.
Magnifico IT provides provides IT software and support services. Its UK clients include the National Health Service, Financial Services Authority and Co-op Travel.
Subrata Muhkerjee, managing director of Magnifico IT Services, said: “The acquisition of Digital Paint has clear benefits for both parties and I am greatly looking forward to maximising the potential for both companies. The move provides Magnifico IT Services with a stronger UK base and skills that will enhance our team. Both companies will also benefit from organic growth and the shared expertise of staff.”
Muhkerjee will take up the role of executive director at Digital Paint, while Nottingham-based businessman Kevin Mansworth joins as non-executive chairman.
Mansworth previously held the post of executive chairman at IT services and solutions business XMA, before selling the business in 2008.
The sum of the deal was not disclosed.
