Lincoln accountant elected to chamber
The marketing manager at a Lincolnshire accountancy firm has been elected as the vice-president for the Lincoln area within the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce. Jeannine Thornley, from Nicholsons Chartered Accountants, was appointed at the chamber’s annual general meeting.
Thornley was elected after serving on the chamber’s Lincoln Area Council for the past three years.
In her role with the chamber, she will represent the interests of business to the region’s authorities.
She said: “I’m a true yellow belly and I’m passionate about my home city of Lincoln, which I think does come across in the meetings. I’m very interested in what’s going on in the local economy and issues such as transport and tourism which are key areas for the city at this present time.
“It’s a great honour to represent Nicholsons on such a prestigious body and the additional knowledge I pick up and the people I meet through my work at the chamber can only benefit the firm.”
