Nelsons expands with trio of recruits
East Midlands’ law firm Nelsons has expanded its commerce and technology division with the appointment of three solicitors. The Nottingham-based team of six is now one of the largest in the region.
New recruits Sean O’Riordan, Shelley Marshall and Matthew Read have been appointed to the team which is led by Jim Carter, a director and head of the commerce and technology group services. The team also includes directors Michelle Craven and Karen Harrison.
O'Riordan qualified in 2008 and joins Nelsons from Pardoes in the South West where he specialised in commercial work. Marshall and Read both joined Nelsons in 2008 and have been retained by the team on completion of their training.
The three new additions will advise on and draft a broad range of commercial contracts, including service and supply agreements, IT contracts and e-commerce terms of business.
Jim Carter said: “While some other commerce and technology teams in the region have been contracting during the downturn, we have continued to expand our resources and areas of specialist expertise in order to meet our clients’ needs.”
