Harries leaves DTZ for new venture

The office head at DTZ in Nottingham has resigned and set up on his own, it has emerged. Tim Harries is leaving to pursue his own interests and James Hall, industrial agency, has returned to his previous employer local firm Geo Hallams and Sons as a partner.

DTZ has appointed Phil Glenn, director, as office head in Nottingham. Glenn has been a director at DTZ Nottingham for five years and was previously with Neales Commercial, prior to its acquisition by DTZ.

Jon Leedham, regional managing director said: “I am very pleased to announce that Phil Glenn will be taking on the role of office head in Nottingham. This appointment will enable us to continue to strengthen our position in the midlands and south west market and further reinforce our ability to provide our clients with global expertise combined with local knowledge.

“Our Nottingham office is a central hub for DTZ’s wider regional activity across some of our key clients and markets. This includes our corporate recovery and restructuring expertise where the team are currently instructed on more than 70 assets across the UK, located from Leeds to Plymouth.

“Our property management business is one of the largest and strongest in the industry, and our focus is on continuing to service a number of UK instructions from Nottingham and growing our market-leading services in the region. The expansion of our Midlands and south west property management team reinforces our ability to provide global expertise combined with local knowledge across the breadth of regions. The new appointments will enable us to further strengthen our position in the market and ensure we continue to provide an excellent tailored service to our clients.

The news follows DTZ’s appointment of 33 new members of staff to its 400-strong Midlands and South West business over the last three months, which includes offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Cheltenham, Cardiff and Nottingham.
