Metclad lifted by MBO
Roofing and cladding contractor Metclad has completed a management buyout (MBO). The purchase of the Nottingham-based company was led by managing director Marvin Village.
The buyout was brokered by business advisory firm RSM Tenon. Metclad, which has an annual turnover of £15m, was bought for an undisclosed sum.
Chris Darlington, managing director of RSM Tenon’s Leicester office, said: “This was a particularly satisfying transaction in the current climate and goes to show that in these uncertain times, deals can still be done.
“MBOs have been hard to do and difficult to fund over the last couple of years, which makes this transaction even more pleasing. Construction is one sector which has struggled over the past 24 months. That Metclad has delivered continued growth and has completed a successful MBO genuinely reflects the strength of the business.”
Flint Bishop advised the management team on the buyout.
