Lincoln firm enters streets of Sheffield

Share | |

Lincoln-based accountant Streets launching a corporate finance boutique in Sheffield, Insider can reveal. It will be headed by Victoria Gribben, formerly of Strategic Corporate Finance.

Gribben, Insider’s South Yorkshire Young Dealmaker of the Year this year, is joined in Streets’ new Sheffield offices by three corporate partners including Shaun Sargent. Sargent said the firm had been picking up business in South Yorkshire because of its strong tax practice and its ability to help firms raise finance in the present tough market.

Streets chairman Paul Tutin added: “Banks tell us that their job is made easier by what we do. You have to be light on your feet these days.” Tutin added that government cuts were already starting to impact on clients but most financial advisers were not properly geared up to respond to the challenges.

He added that we had not yet seen a “real showdown” in terms of company insolvencies and he expected the market to remain tough throughout 2011 and 2012, although the South Yorkshire economy was holding up well.
