Stoford sets sights on South West
Birmingham property specialist Stoford has acquired a gateway site in Bristol City Centre. The company said the site will be a regional base for insurance company Simplyhealth.
Stoford will submit a planning application later this month to revamp Redland House, a former NatWest bank. The property will be developed into 60,000 sq ft of offices with a proposed start on site by spring 2011.
Redland House was purchased for an undisclosed fee.
It is the second scheme that Stoford has purchased in the South West in less than six months. The company was recently appointed by the Co-operative Group to build a £35m regional distribution centre, which will employ about 1,000 people.
