Share | |

Marketing Derby will hold the latest in its series of Embassy events in London later today. Discussions will include pre-Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) announcements on up to £50m of investment opportunities across the city.

More than 120 ambassadors and investors will gather on the 33rd floor of global law firm ReedSmith near Liverpool St to hear endorsements from city movers and shakers, such as Kavita Oberoi, managing director at Oberoi Consulting and Adam Wilkinson, chief executive of Derby City Council.

Derby’s key priority is taking forward the one million sq ft of office space with planning permission. A £10m Regeneration Fund has been launched by Derby City Council to act as a catalyst for this.

Also speaking is UK chairman of engineering giant Bombardier which has its UK HQ in Derby and is currently bidding to rebuild the Thameslink service.

This next embassy will also see the formal launch of the Derby Ambassadors’ Club. Insider will be reporting from the event.
