Trivett Square office plans revealed

More details have emerged of the major 67,000 sq ft Trivett Square development in Nottingham. Revealed exclusively by Insider last week, it is to be located on Short Hill, connecting to High Pavement, and will provide 51,000 sq ft of new office space.

Plans for a further 16,000 sq ft of converted office space with on-site basement car parking have also been submitted by Leicester based developer Bowbridge Group.

The new build element of Trivett Square will be located on the edge of the Lace Market, and will wrap around the former Cooper Parry offices which will be converted as part of the scheme.

James Keeton, from the agents behind the scheme - King Sturge, said: "There is currently just under 800,000 sq ft of vacant office space within the city centre but only 8 per cent of Grade A and the majority of office occupiers require modern space.

"Recent deals, such as Eon and Speedo, highlighted the continued demand for high quality office space within Nottingham, to the extent buildings are being delivered specific to these occupier requirements. This is a scenario not being experienced elsewhere in the UK office market due to an over supply in most cities."

Hampshire-based architect Re-Format has secured a deal to design the building.

Keeton added: “The frontage of Trivett Square offers any occupier a real opportunity to brand the building and take advantage of the prominence that it offers to one of the key gateways to the city. The scheme also incorporates a roof garden offering the occupier superb views across the city.”
