New international signing for Lloyds
Lloyds TSB Commercial has appointed Peter Ponsford to the new role of international business manager in the East Midlands and Lincolnshire.
He will focus on companies heavily involved with imports and exports. He is also to provide guidance on all areas of international trade, ranging from documentation to finance.
Ponsford has 32 years' experience in banking and previously worked as business development manager with Lloyds, specialising in companies with turnover up to £15m.
He said: "New international markets can provide an excellent opportunity for companies to grow. Exporting may often be seen as just the domain of industries such as manufacturing, but firms in other sectors can also find a demand for their products and services in foreign countries."
