Griffin fuses with Manchester business

Share | |

Internet services provider Griffin has acquired fellow communications provider Fused. Derby-based Griffin will close the Manchester-based company “in due course”, Insider understands.

Griffin will now take on all of the Manchester-based company’s contracts and customers.

According to reports, the company will close down the Fused office “in due course”, and staff will be invited to apply for positions at the Derby site. Andrew Dickinson, managing director of Griffin, has been reported as saying that “there are always some casualties in that respect”.

Dickinson said: “I would personally like to welcome customers and staff of Fused to Griffin. Fused have a fantastic reputation in the channel, they have won many accolades over the years and we are delighted with this acquisition.

“We have a lot of experience with migrating partners and end users between networks and we anticipate the minimum of disruption as customers are integrated into the Griffin infrastructure.”

The sum of the deal was undisclosed.
